Text messages

Hair by Nikolai, a hair salon in South Pasadena, California, sends a short text after some appointments asking clients to leave a review on Google. We only text clients who have said yes. This page explains how that works.

How you opt in

  1. At checkout, a member of our team asks you:
    “Is it OK if we text you a quick link to leave a review?”
  2. If you say yes, we mark your customer profile in our checkout system as opted in to review-request texts. The date and time of your consent are recorded.
  3. Our first text asks you to reply YES to confirm. We send the review link only after you reply YES.

Saying no has no effect on your appointment or service. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.

Hair by Nikolai: Thanks for coming in today! Reply YES and we’ll send you a quick link to leave a review. Reply STOP to opt out.
After you reply YES
Hair by Nikolai: Thank you! If you have a minute, a review means a lot: [Google review link]. Reply STOP to opt out.

Message frequency: up to 2 messages per visit. We do not send promotions or offers.

  • Program: Hair by Nikolai review requests.
  • Opt out: Reply STOP at any time. You’ll receive one confirmation and no further messages.
  • Help: Reply HELP, or email hello@hairbynikolai.com.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

We use your mobile number to send the review-request messages described above. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers that deliver the messages on our behalf. See our privacy policy.
